Swansong – not fade away

Pain Quakers Theatre are to perform this play on Friday 11th October.

Great Get Together

Saturday 22nd June 2.30-4.00pm.

We look forward to seeing you all at a Garden Party with afternoon tea & a community plant swap – a no money event. Neighbours & friends are being invited to join us. Please bring along any spare plants, seedlings and cut flowers that you are happy to give away to others. Also there be some plants that you would like to take away for yourself. A Great Get Together event.

Heritage Open Days

We will be open September 20th,21st,22nd. To include the ‘Quaker Faith & Practice’ exhibition.

Amnesty

The first meeting of the ‘Amnesty International Letter Writing Group’ will meet at 7.30pm on Thursday 14th March.

Meeting for Worship
Sundays 10.30-11.30am (Finishing at 11.15am on business meeting Sundays)

All welcome

Preparative (Business) Meetings

Held on Sunday after Meeting for Worship, six times a year, from about 11.45am-1.00pm.  Dates for 2018: January 7th, March 4th, May 6th, July 1st, September 2nd, November 4th.

Midweek Meetings

Usually on the first Tuesday of the month at 7.30pm, with occasional extra meetings: short period of worship, followed by speaker, DVD, etc., and discussion.  All welcome.

To be replaced by a discussion meeting after Meeting for Worship on the last Sunday of the month. To commence on April 28th, topic ‘Simplicity’.

May 26th – further consideration of ‘Simplicity’.

Healing Group

2nd Monday 2.30pm.

During a guided meditation named people are ‘held in the Light’.

Writing Group

3rd Monday 7.30pm.

We meet to write on topics that help us understand ourselves and reflect on our lives. It is frequently hilarious! This is not a creative writing group as such. We write for 20-25 minutes on a topic that has been agreed by the group in advance, then share the work by reading it out.

Experiment with Light Group

4th Monday 2.30pm.

This is a Quaker discipline which uses a guided meditation based on the writings of early Quakers, followed by time to reflect on our own. We use journaling, drawing and other aids as we find useful. Finally we share our experience of the meditation with the rest of the group.
